Title: GoAnywhere MFT Architect
Location: Remote (10% Travel to Newark NJ)
We are looking for an experienced GoAnywhere MFT Architect with a strong background in software development and enterprise system integration. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise in GoAnywhere MFT and the ability to design scalable, secure, and automated managed file transfer solutions
Responsibilities:
Architect and implement secure, scalable MFT solutions leveraging GoAnywhere.
Translate business requirements into workflow automation, API integrations, and custom scripts.
Define and enforce best practices for file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.).
Develop custom scripts, APIs, and connectors to extend MFT functionality.
Integrate GoAnywhere with enterprise systems (ERP, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, cloud apps, etc.).
Use software development skills to build automation frameworks and monitoring tools.
Implement encryption, authentication, and data protection aligned with industry standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, etc.).
Perform code reviews and ensure secure coding practices for integrations and workflows.
Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
Optimize file transfer processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Provide Level 3 SME support and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications:
7+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years focused on GoAnywhere MFT (Fortra).
Prior software development experience in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages.
Strong experience designing MFT architectures in enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
Hands-on expertise in workflow automation, scripting (PowerShell, Shell, Python), and APIs.
Knowledge of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, SCP).
Strong understanding of security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid deployments.
Experience in enterprise-scale migration projects for MFT platforms.
