Overview To lead and manage the work for the implementation and support of infrastructure platforms for delivering applications. To manage scalable, reliable, and reusable platforms, tools, and environments for application development, deployment, and operations. The Manager II provides leadership to leaders and/or experienced professionals and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Implements strategies by establishing operational objectives, policies and plans that effect immediate operations and may have department or organizational impact.
Responsibilities - Leads IT infrastructure & systems administration (internal or outsourcing staff) including installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of IT software and hardware systems, IT data/voice network systems, and internal databases.
- Ensure the uptime, performance, and resource availability of the computers and other IT systems; matching the organization's resources with the demand placed on them; monitoring organization's wide area and/or local area network performance; identifying and resolving network problems; upgrading network hardware, software and telecommunications equipment; IT data center facility operations; and ensuring the quality, accuracy and security of databases.
- Manages multiple related units or teams, sets priorities, allocates resources and executes business plans.
- Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Focus is on operational activities within a specified area with some contribution to short-term strategy.
- Applies in-depth understanding of the business dynamics of own division and integrates within the department
- Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.
- Analyze metrics and KPIs to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage:
- Infrastructure that supports application development (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
- Frameworks, libraries, and tools to provide standardize development and operations.
- Cloud services, container orchestration, and virtualization.
- Optimize platform reliability, scalability, and automation.
- Enable developers to focus on building applications by abstracting complexities.
- Governance and Architecture for Pega Platform and Pega Robotics
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- Desired - Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- 7 - 10 years relative work experience
- 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise
- Broad expertise or unique knowledge in designing and developing software platforms.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud architectures, CI/CD processes, and platform security.
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles.
- Ability to influence others internally and externally, including leaders, vendors and regulators.
Desired Qualifications- One or more Pega System certifications
- One or many PMP, Agile or DevOps Certification
- Advanced knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures
