RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
Be proficient and have project and site-based experience in Controls and Electrical Design and Engineering across multiple industries including (but not limited to) Oil, Gas & Chemical; Power & Power Generation; Specialty Chemicals; Food; Metals & Mining also an advantage
Have a focused and strong attitude towards data quality for the project on a day-to-day basis
Advise as a tool specialist on optimal workflows and data structure standards to the project
Where required, build out and expedite PID project data at a rate that is consistent with the data provided at the time of execution
Audit project data on a regular basis to agreed standards to identify technical and structural data issues early on a project to avoid lost efficiency and project progress
Be able to schedule and execute shorthand training sessions (e.g., Lunch and Learns) to help engineering's continuous learning with the tool
Stay well-informed and up to date on changing workflows, development items and requirements within the Integrated Environment and share that learning with project teams
Perform project imports (bulk data loads) when and where this is efficient to do so for SPID
Initialize and maintain SPID projects
Maintain SPID drawing standards, symbology, and reference data, and generate P&ID reports and drawing deliverables where project requirements change
Maintain and update Datasheet Powersoft Reports (PSRs) where fluid change of SI datasheet requirements are required
React quickly and effectively to any issues with the software reported by the project team and work with Kiewit's in-house systems to track and record progress in addressing bugs or identifying training issues
Interface directly with Hexagon/Intergraph for software issues and problems by means of Service Requests (SRs) with a strong technical understanding of the software
Perform regular database maintenance and create local backups of all relevant projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Expert knowledge of Smart P&ID (SPID) with at least ten (10) years of SPID Administrator experience
A moderate to high level of knowledge of Smart Electrical (SEL) and SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) is a plus
High Level of knowledge and understanding with AutoCAD, Microstation and Intergraph's SmartSketch
High level of knowledge and understanding with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
A good working knowledge and understanding with Sybase's InfoMaker would be a distinct advantage
A good understanding or demonstration of skillset with Microsoft Access and Structured Query Language (SQL) would be considered a distinct advantage
Industry Specific Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of experience within the EPC industries, in a relevant role and with strong project execution experience, is required.
Experience in project delivery for the Energy, Chemical, Power or Industrial markets
