2 years, 6 monthsExpect to travel to the construction sites across Virginia roughly 80% of their timeProject DescriptionWe are looking for a Resident Manager to support the construction of a dark fiber conduit line across Virginia. This job will be working in tandem with a Construction Manager and an Inspector. The Resident Manager should be based out of the Roanoke, VA area and expect to travel to the construction sites across Virginia roughly 80% of their time.
The following are the primary role and responsibilities:- Inspect fiber optic construction sites to ensure they comply with contract terms and local, state, and federal regulations for safety and compliance
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that the work meets or exceeds the specifications outlined in the project plan
- Communicate with contractors and other construction personnel to ensure they are meeting project schedule requirements
- Report any discrepancies or problems with the construction site to Construction Manager for resolution
- Identify and recommend improvements to the construction process to enhance efficiency and maintain project objectives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction activity and project status
