Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Financial Analyst for a 12+ month contract-to-hire position located in Austin, TX. Responsibilities: - Support the administration of the chargeback system, capitalization, amortization, and budget controls, including validation of financial data and compliance with established financial policies
- Collect, validate, and incorporate financial data to support allocation modeling for enterprise-wide infrastructure and software costs
- Assist in the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of annual budgets, budget amendments, and short and long range financial planning activities for Data and IT
- Prepare and analyze monthly IT financial reports, including analysis of variances, risks, trends, and the financial impacts of chargebacks and allocations on Data and IT budgets, and communicate findings to Data and IT Leadership
- Ensure IT financial practices align with company policies, and the direction established by the Finance and Facilities service area
- Administer and maintain financial allocation and project reporting systems, including system configuration and support, user administration, and end user training
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports using Power BI to support operational and portfolio level insights
- Partner with the Project Management Office (PMO) to support consistent financial tracking for Data and IT initiatives, including project cost visibility and capitalization indicators
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience of financial analysis, accounting, or budgeting, preferably within a technology, IT or project-based environment
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and financial or project reporting tools
- Experience with budgeting or financial planning software
- Ability to apply financial and analytical skills to support accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within an IT and technology services environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear financial reports, summaries, and presentation materials for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, trends, and anomalies, and communicate findings with appropriate context and explanation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced technology environment
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel formulas, functions, and financial analysis techniques
- Experience developing or maintaining dashboards or reports using business intelligence tools such as Power BI
- Strong analytical, data gathering, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines while collaborating effectively with IT, Finance, and the PMO
Desired skills: - Understanding of internal control concepts and compliance considerations within IT or financial operations preferred
Pay range: $60,000 - $85,000 per year
