This position manages the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of infrastructure hardware/software technologies. This will include managing all aspects of design, configuration, implementation and support of IT Infrastructure to ensure the safe, secure, reliable, and efficient support of corporate IT systems and existing technologies and services.
Essential Functions
- Assigns and oversees the work of IT engineering personnel to ensure timely and accurate service and technical support to customers. Ensures timely response to customer emergencies and outages during working hours and on an on-call basis to provide optimal service levels. Assists in developing project plans and designing and implementing new or modified infrastructure to ensure effective business solutions. Conducts systems analysis according to the standards and methodology consistent with technical requirements and ensures proper analysis and documentation of infrastructure capabilities. Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and other accreditation regulations. Triages complaints and routes to appropriate person/department. Demonstrates critical thinking skills related to investigating and resolving customer concerns. Prioritizes and responds promptly to needs of the customer. Recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues.
- Provides management and leadership oversight of associates assigned to IT Governance projects to ensure achievement of established project milestones. Mentors and/or leads staff in the mastery of project management principles and tools. Ensures adherence to established PMO project methodologies.
- Using best practices, such as targeted selection, interviews applicants for vacant positions and selects the best candidates. Develops staff through effective coaching and counseling. In conjunction with Employee Relations, applies appropriate and consistent corrective action. On a daily basis, provides direct reports with performance and behavior related feedback, both negative and positive. Completes performance evaluations on an at least annual basis. Fosters communication through regular staff meetings. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations. Constantly monitors the work environment for opportunities for improvement, and implements improvement initiatives. Prepares and manages operating, capital and project budgets.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or unique experience directly related to job function in lieu of degree. - Required
- 5 years experience in IT management and supervisory practices within IT engineering, such as, wireless, LAN, WAN, load balancing, firewalls, servers, VMWare, Cloud Migrations, etc. Required
- 3 years experience in a health care environment and with health care applications and multi-institutional health systems or health care consulting experience. Preferred
- Architectural level designation (Cisco, VMWare, BICSI, etc) - Preferred
- ITIL V3 - Preferred
- Remote, but must reside in Arizona
