Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior IT Project Manager - Manufacturing & ERP Migration for a contract assignment with one of our Premier Clients in Greenville, WI.

Seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager with Operational Capacity Planning and Manufacturing experience. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead critical technology initiatives within a manufacturing environment, with a primary focus on migrating backlogged data from an on premises ERP system to a modern cloud platform. This role requires a blend of IT project leadership, manufacturing operations experience, and hands on understanding of production scheduling and capacity planning. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered complex technical projects in a manufacturing setting and understands how technology impacts shop floor operations.

Responsibilities :
  • Lead end to end project management for the ERP data migration from on prem to cloud, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing operations teams to understand production schedules, capacity constraints, and workflow impacts.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and status reporting for executive leadership.
  • Oversee data extraction, cleansing, validation, and migration activities in partnership with technical teams.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations during migration and system transitions.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration between IT, operations, engineering, and external vendors.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Manage project budgets, scope, and change control to ensure successful delivery.
Required Skills:
  • 5-10+ years of IT Project Management experience, ideally in mid to large manufacturing environments.
  • Direct operational experience with manufacturing scheduling, capacity planning, or shop floor coordination.
  • Proven success managing ERP related projects, including data migration, system upgrades, or cloud transitions.
  • Strong understanding of on prem vs. cloud architectures and the complexities of moving legacy data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in hybrid onsite environments with cross functional teams.
  • Work Environment
    • Hybrid schedule: 3-4 days onsite per week.
    • Fast paced manufacturing setting with hands on collaboration across IT and operations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience migrating ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, or similar from on prem to cloud.
  • PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications.
  • Background supporting lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
