Job Details

As an Electrical Designer/Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical layouts, drawings, schematics, isometrics, and supporting documentation for complex construction projects.

You will serve as a technical resource throughout the project lifecycle, helping ensure electrical systems are code-compliant, constructible, cost-effective, and aligned with project requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, isometrics, and system designs
  • Coordinate design solutions while balancing code requirements, constructability, client expectations, and project budgets
  • Serve as a technical lead across multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction
  • Provide technical direction and support to project and design team members
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, project teams, engineers, and inspecting authorities
  • Perform electrical calculations including building service loads, voltage drop, short circuit, and lighting photometrics
  • Review designs for compliance with applicable codes and project specifications
  • Assist with resolving electrical design and constructability issues throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications:
  • 4-10+ years of relevant electrical design, engineering, or construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes
  • Working knowledge of IBC, IECC, and construction safety requirements
  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment, installation methods, and electrical design fundamentals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, multifamily, residential, or similar construction projects preferred
