We are seeking an experienced System Administrator - Middleware to support and manage enterprise middleware environments with a focus on WebSphere technologies. This role is responsible for the full installation, configuration, and administration of WebSphere Application Server (Network Deployment and Base editions), ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing application environments.
The ideal candidate will design and implement high-availability architectures including clustering, load balancing, and failover solutions. Responsibilities include enterprise repository management for WebSphere and IHS binaries, performance tuning, advanced troubleshooting, and leading version migration initiatives.
This position also requires strong expertise in WebSphere Liberty, including deployment and maintenance on traditional virtual machines as well as containerized implementations using Podman. Experience orchestrating Liberty workloads within OpenShift Container Platform environments is essential. The role involves customizing server configurations to meet diverse application requirements while maintaining reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
