Job Title: DevOps Support Engineer

Experience: 1–3 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Support Engineer with basic knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, and Salesforce. The candidate will support DevOps operations, deployment activities, environment management, monitoring, and troubleshooting while working closely with development and Salesforce teams.

The ideal candidate should have a willingness to learn DevOps practices and hands-on exposure to Salesforce development or administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Support application build, deployment, and release activities.

• Monitor application environments and troubleshoot basic issues.

• Work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for source code management and version control.

• Assist with deployment automation and release management.

• Support environment configuration and application maintenance.

• Work with development teams to resolve deployment-related issues.

• Assist in monitoring application performance, logs, and system health.

• Support basic Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.

• Work on Salesforce deployment and release activities.

• Assist with Salesforce metadata deployments between environments.

• Support Salesforce sandbox management and environment refresh activities.

• Coordinate with developers and QA teams for successful deployments.

• Maintain deployment documentation and operational procedures.

Required Technical Skills

DevOps Skills

• Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and practices.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

• Basic experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.

• Understanding of deployment and release management.

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Basic troubleshooting and monitoring skills.

Salesforce Knowledge

• Basic understanding of Salesforce CRM.

• Familiarity with Salesforce objects, metadata, and environments.

• Basic knowledge of Salesforce Sandbox and Production environments.

• Understanding of Salesforce deployment processes.

• Exposure to Salesforce Change Sets, Salesforce CLI (SFDX), or DevOps Center is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), or Salesforce configuration is a plus.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell or Python).

• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.

• Knowledge of Salesforce DX.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Exposure to application monitoring tools.

Experience & Candidate Expectations

• Some knowledge of Salesforce platform and its deployment lifecycle.

• Ability to support routine deployments and troubleshoot basic issues.

• Interest in building a career in DevOps and Salesforce DevOps.

A junior-level candidate who has:

• Basic DevOps knowledge with Git and CI/CD.

• Some Salesforce knowledge or Salesforce administration/development exposure.

• Understanding of application deployment and release processes.

• Good troubleshooting skills and eagerness to learn.
