Role : Mainframe NDM Support
Location : Hybrid Onsite - Dallas TX, Jersey city Nj, Tampa FL
Duration: Long term
- Mainframe NDM (Network Data Mover/Connect:Direct) Support professional manages, configures; and troubleshoots secure, high-volume file transfers between mainframe (
- systems and distributed platforms. Key responsibilities include installing/maintaining Connect:Direct via SMP/E, monitoring batch transfers, developing REXX automation scripts, resolving network connectivity issues, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor NDM production queues, investigate transfer failures, and resolve abends using IPCS.
- Configuration & Maintenance: Install, customize, and upgrade IBM Stering Connect:Direct (NDM) software using SMP/E.
- Security & Networking: Implement secure file transfer protocols, manage AT-TLS configurations, and apply digital certificates.
- Automation: Develop and maintain REXX scripts and JCL to streamline data transfer processes.
- Infrastructure Support: Manage TCPIPTAM connectivity for data movement
- across LPARs and non-mainframe platforms.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, procedures, and support issue logs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of IBM Sterling Connect:Direct(NDM), JCL, and Tools: Experience with mainframe tools like TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, REXX, and IPCS.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCPIIP, VTAM, and secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS).
- Experience: Previous experience in Mainframe Production Support or Systems Programming.
