Position Summary Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring on behalf of our client, i8is, for an experienced Mainframe Developer to support ACH payment processing applications. This is a hybrid role based in Buffalo, NY. The selected consultant will be engaged on a W2 basis through Sincera, a Virtusa company. This is an immediate need for a developer who combines deep mainframe engineering skill with hands-on ACH payments domain knowledge. The role covers both new development and production support of the applications that move ACH payment volume, in an environment where accuracy, batch timeliness, and settlement integrity carry direct business consequence. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications supporting ACH payment origination, receipt, processing, and settlement. Write, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs, JCL, and supporting components across the ACH application portfolio. Work with DB2 and VSAM data structures, including data access design, query tuning, and file handling for high volume batch processing. Develop and maintain CICS online components supporting payment inquiry, exception handling, and operational functions. Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch cycles using CA7, and resolve job failures and abends within processing windows. Provide production support for ACH applications, including root cause analysis, defect resolution, and incident follow up. Analyze ACH file formats, NACHA rules, return and exception processing, and translate requirements into technical designs. Partner with business analysts, operations, and downstream teams to ensure changes are correctly specified, tested, and released. Prepare technical documentation and support code reviews, change management, and audit requirements. Required Qualifications Eight or more years of professional experience in mainframe development and support. Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS. Experience with CA7 and related mainframe technologies. Strong background in mainframe development and production support. Experience with ACH platforms and payment processing. ACH domain knowledge combined with the mainframe skill set above is a must for this requirement. Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Buffalo, NY. Compensation and Work Authorization Compensation for this position is $120,000 per year with benefits, commensurate with experience.
