Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a 787 Materials & Processes Senior Manager (Level L) to join the Engineering Materials & Processes (M&P) organization in North Charleston, SC.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team across North Charleston, SC, and Everett, WA, which requires approximately 20% travel between these two sites. Over the next few years, we will be transitioning all of 787 M&P statement of work to North Charleston, SC.

We are dedicated to driving innovation and delivering advanced materials and technology solutions throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical excellence in M&P Engineering while also being an engaging and motivating leader for the team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the 787 Program, Fabrication, Manufacturing, and Engineering leaders on Top priorities, RIO management, and technology insertions

  • Ensures the M&P team is meeting commitments on design development, design reviews, liaison support, qualifications, and supply chain activities

  • Leads M&P people development strategy and responsible for leading first level managers

  • Manages and executes to budget, staffing, andmetrics that evaluate the health of the business

  • Inspires and empowers the team through collaboration, communication, and caring

  • Builds and nurtures a welcoming culture by seeking different perspectives, speaking up, and actively listening to teammates and stakeholders

  • Aligns with Boeing?s Values and Behaviors, ensuring an emotionally safe work environment where employees can freely and proactively raise safety, quality and schedule concerns as soon as they are known

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement ?

  • 3+ years of leadership experience

  • 1+ years of experience in Materials & Processing Engineering

  • 1+ years of experience with the Boeing Production System

  • Able and willing to travel domestically 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees

  • Strong communication skills and working directly with executives or senior leaders

  • Ability to adapt to a changing statement of work

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $164,900 - $223,100
