Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Talend Consultant to support enterprise-level data integration initiatives for government clients. The consultant will work through an implementation partner to design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Talend solutions in secure, compliance-driven environments.

This is a remote contract role requiring strong expertise in Talend and experience working on public sector or government projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Talend Data Integration and Talend Data Fabric.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms).
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with government data security and regulatory standards.
• Perform data validation, transformation, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Support deployment in on-prem and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ETL/Data Integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Talend.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience working in government or public sector environments.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control (Git).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Talend Cloud.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Understanding of data governance and security frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.).
• Active Public Trust or Security Clearance (preferred but not mandatory).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of data modeling tools.
• Experience working with implementation partners on federal/state contracts.

Work Environment

• Fully remote.
• Must be able to work U.S. business hours.
• Background check may be required due to government client engagement.
