Role: Sr. Java Backend Engineer with Big Data
Location: Rockville, MD - Hybrid - (3 days onsite)
Duration: long-term

Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other relevant Engineering field.
? 8+ years experience in Software Engineering.
? 8+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL and databases
? 5+ years of experience working with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Presto)
? 5+ years REST/web services experience and writing complex SQL queries
? 3+ years of experience building on Amazon AWS Services
? Experience working with the following technology stack: Amazon Web Services (AWS), EMR Hive/Presto, ECS, Lambda, S3, DevOps and CI/CD, Jenkins, CloudFormation
? Basic understanding of one or more scripting languages (Unix Shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
