Summary

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and proven experience in migrating enterprise applications, users, and integrations from Okta to Entra ID. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, conditional access, M365 integrations, and service account migrations, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration & Integration

Lead the end-to-end migration of applications (SAML/OIDC) from Okta to Entra ID.
Conduct detailed analysis of existing Okta configurations (apps, policies, mappings) and design equivalent or improved implementations in Entra ID.
Migrate M365 authentication from Okta federation to native Entra ID.
Reconfigure SCIM provisioning connectors, automation workflows, and deprovisioning processes.
Perform service account and API client credential migrations securely.
Collaborate with application owners to validate integrations post-migration and ensure continuity of Single Sign-On (SSO) and MFA enforcement.

2. Identity Lifecycle & Governance

Design and optimize user lifecycle management processes (Joiner-Mover-Leaver).
Integrate identity data sources such as HR systems, AD, and Entra ID to maintain consistent attribute flow.
Implement automated group and role-based access control (RBAC) models.
Develop governance policies for privileged and service accounts.
Participate in the implementation of access reviews, certification, and attestation workflows.

3. Conditional Access & Security

Architect and fine-tune Conditional Access Policies in Entra ID to meet organizational security and compliance requirements.
Configure MFA, device compliance, and session controls for hybrid work scenarios.
Align policies with Zero Trust principles and regulatory frameworks.
Provide risk-based recommendations for continuous access evaluation (CAE) and adaptive authentication.

4. Operations & Documentation

Maintain detailed documentation of migration steps, configurations, and change management processes.
Establish operational runbooks for ongoing IAM administration and application onboarding.
Support incident troubleshooting, token validation, and SSO issues across Entra ID applications.
Work closely with cross-functional teams — Security, Infrastructure, and M365 administrators — to ensure cohesive identity governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
Proven experience in Okta to Entra ID migrations for enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of:

SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC)
SCIM provisioning
Conditional Access
MFA and risk-based authentication

Expertise in M365 authentication and federation models
Hands-on experience with PowerShell / Graph API / Entra ID API for automation.
Deep understanding of service accounts and application registrations
Familiarity with identity lifecycle workflows and integration with HR systems
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
