GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing mechanical designs that meet customer requirements, technical specifications, cost targets, and project schedules. The role ensures compliance with applicable engineering standards and requirements while supporting proposal development, engineering execution, and continuous product improvement through design optimization, technical problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Reviews customer requirements including customer specifications, Statements of Work, and interface drawings in order to ensure compliance with contract.
- Designs AC & DC electrical systems from customer specifications.
- Interfaces with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues.
- Creates technical proposals, technical materials, procurement specifications, and electrical analyses.
- Support company and customer test development and validation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience preferred.

- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
