Summary



As a candidate for this position, you will be responsible for supporting both production and non-production technology systems. You will lead detection, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues impacting service delivery across multiple platforms. This role requires participation in a 24x7 rotating on-call support model and active involvement in resolving escalated production incidents.

Key Responsibilities

-Production Support & Incident Management

* Provide 24x7 rotating on-call support for production applications and infrastructure.
* Lead detection, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents affecting service availability and performance.
* Serve as the primary escalation point for customer-impacting issues and drive resolution to closure.
* Address file transmission failures and job scheduling issues impacting timely batch file delivery.
* Ensure monitoring alerts and system events are properly risk-assessed, prioritized, and resolved with urgency.

### Monitoring, Automation & Performance

* Develop application monitoring scripts and automate alerts to proactively notify technical teams of issues.
* Recommend performance optimizations, infrastructure capacity improvements, and enhancements to existing scripts and utilities.
* Validate system health and stability following deployments, patches, and configuration changes.

-Change, Patch & Release Support

* Participate in application and infrastructure patch installations, rollbacks, and post-deployment validations.
* Document installation issues, defects, and incidents; assign severity levels and coordinate root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.

* Create, maintain, and enhance technical support documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
* Assume production support ownership for applications transitioning from development teams.

## Required Experience & Skills

* 5+ years of experience in application development, full lifecycle support, and/or production support within a technology-driven environment, preferably in e-commerce, IT services, or banking.
* Strong experience supporting UNIX/Linux environments, including shell scripting and Oracle operations.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production applications across multi-tier architectures.
* Hands-on experience with AWS and one or more application servers: WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss.
* Experience working with data platforms and messaging technologies including Snowflake, Oracle, and Kafka.
* Expertise with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ExtraHop, Grafana, and AWS monitoring services.
* Strong experience with web services and messaging protocols including SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and AMQP.
* Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Bash, Shell, Python, Sed, AWK, and Ruby.
* Experience working in EFT and digital payments environments.
* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the FinTech services industry.
* Certifications or practical knowledge of ITIL production support best practices and Splunk.
* Familiarity with networking fundamentals and strong understanding of multi-tier system architecture and infrastructure configurations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
* Experience supporting high-volume e-commerce transactional systems.
* Exposure to Azure Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and Kafka-based data technologies.
