Job Summary
We are seeking a GIS QA/Test Engineer to support the migration of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GIS web application testing, migration validation, smoke testing, functional testing, and performance testing using JMeter.
Key Responsibilities
• Validate the migration of ArcGIS Enterprise from version 10.8.1 to 11.5 hosted on AWS.
• Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing of GIS web applications and services.
• Test ArcGIS components including Portal, Server, Web Maps, Feature Services, and REST APIs.
• Validate map rendering, layer functionality, user access, security roles, and data integrity after migration.
• Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter.
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with GIS developers, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful migration.
• Support production validation and post-deployment testing activities.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (10.x/11.x) and GIS web applications.
• Experience testing ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, Web Services, and REST APIs.
• Strong experience with:
Functional Testing
Smoke Testing
Regression Testing
Integration Testing
• Hands-on experience with JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Experience validating applications deployed on AWS.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise migration projects.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience with test automation frameworks is a plus.
