Work you'll do

As a Data Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...
  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining batch and near-real-time data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks
  • Building and optimizing data models, schemas, and storage solutions to support analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence use cases
  • Integrating data from multiple structured and unstructured sources while ensuring data quality, lineage, and consistency across platforms
  • Supporting cloud-based data platform implementation activities, including deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, incident management, and issue resolution
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into scalable data engineering solutions and support delivery across project workstreams

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field and 5+ years of experience developing, testing, and deploying data pipelines and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
  • 4+ years of experience in incident management
  • 4+ years of experience in data management
  • 4+ years of experience in data ingestion
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical teams or workstreams
  • 4+ years of experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Active Secret security clearance with full adjudication
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • 4+ years of experience in digital transformation
  • 4+ years of experience in process optimization
  • 4+ years of experience in technical analysis
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,400 to $207,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
