Full Stack Engineer

Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our team in New York, New York. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions using modern technologies to support our financial services projects. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to work on innovative systems and collaborate with a talented team.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain full stack applications using Python, Flask, and Dash, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
Design efficient data models and implement relational and non-relational databases, including MongoDB and Snowflake, for optimized data management.
Build and deploy APIs in containerized environments such as Kubernetes, collaborating with team members to integrate APIs with web applications.
Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system reliability.
Create scalable systems integrated with cloud services for storage and secrets management.
Publish and maintain Python packages, developing tools to enhance project workflows.
Design and implement data pipelines, ensuring effective processing and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment pipelines and observability configurations.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, applying best practices to improve development processes.

Requirements

3-6 years of software engineering experience with a strong portfolio of full stack development work.
Proficiency in Python and experience with web frameworks such as Flask or Dash.
Expertise in integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases like MongoDB and Snowflake.
Experience deploying APIs in containerized environments using Kubernetes.
Familiarity with cloud services for storage and authentication management.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution skills.
Understanding of deployment pipelines and observability tools like Datadog or Opsgenie.
