Job Title: SAP PP-PI Analyst

Location: Princeton, NJ (Onsite 3 days/week)

Contract Type: 12-month contract (possibility of extension)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP-PI Business Analyst with strong MES integration experience, ideally with PAS-X, to support a long-term engagement. This role will serve as the functional liaison between manufacturing operations, quality, IT, and integration teams to ensure effective alignment between SAP PP-PI and the MES environment.

The ideal candidate combines deep process manufacturing knowledge with SAP PP-PI functional expertise and a solid understanding of MES data flows and integration points.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Translate business process needs into SAP PP-PI functional specifications
• Support integration design between SAP PP-PI and MES (PAS-X preferred)
• Define and validate data flows for:
• Master data synchronization
• Process/production order transfer
• Batch management and genealogy
• Confirmations, consumption, and shop floor reporting
• Collaborate with technical and middleware teams (e.g., PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, BAPIs) to ensure successful interface execution
• Facilitate workshops and process design sessions
• Develop functional design documents (FDDs) and support technical specifications
• Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, and go-live activities
• Assist with issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide documentation and user training support as needed

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on PP-PI (Process Industries)
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting manufacturing environments
• Experience working with MES platforms; PAS-X experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of:
• Process orders
• Phases and confirmations
• Batch management and traceability
• Integration touchpoints between SAP and MES
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in production and quality environments
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or food & beverage industries
• S/4HANA experience
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery models
