Job Description


We are seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting client' Compliance & Standards Excellence organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automotive or powersports product compliance, certification management, and cross-functional project coordination and a proven ability to secure and maintain global product certifications and drive compliance by design through the product lifecycle.


Responsibilities:



  • Obtain and maintain snowmobile emissions and product certifications, including US EPA, SSCC, Transport Canada, EU type approval, and other international certifications.

  • Track and implement new global product regulations and standards impacting powersports products.

  • Support engineering research and development to ensure compliance by design for new products.

  • Plan and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to achieve timely compliance validation, approval, and implementation.

  • Conduct Product Development Process (PDP) and Part Release System (PRS) compliance reviews.

  • Interface with regulatory agencies and third-party certification authorities as required.

  • Represent Polaris on industry association technical committees to monitor and interpret new requirements.

  • Maintain and support development of compliance processes, tools, and systems.

  • Track pre-certification vehicles and engines and monitor warranty claims per applicable regulations.

  • Prepare and file required periodic regulatory reports.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • B.S. in Engineering or a related field.

  • Background in automotive or powersports product compliance and vehicle certification.

  • Project management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into product and process actions.

  • Strong research, documentation, and communication skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • Powersports compliance certification experience.

  • PMP certification or formal project management training.

  • Familiarity with PDP and PRS processes.


Role Logistics:



  • Start Date: ASAP. Early October is ideal.

  • Reason for Need: Maternity leave coverage with planned overlap before and after the leave.

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Onsite in the Roseau or Wyoming, MN surrounding area 1-2 times per week. Occasional travel to Roseau may be required.

  • Travel: Limited, approximately 10%.
