Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned, innovative, and dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. You will be at the forefront of our operations, leading the way in developing and implementing complex mechanical solutions for our clients. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of highly skilled engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and products, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam for designing and drafting mechanical components and systems.
  • Design and implement HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Prepare and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
  • Develop and manage project documentation including ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates, book specs, and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure project success.
  • Conduct cost and time estimation for projects, considering materials, manpower, and other resources.
  • Ensure all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other engineering design software.
  • Extensive experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
  • Strong knowledge of ROM, book specs, and cost estimating.
  • Commercial experience with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with industry, federal, and state regulations and standards.
