Investors Economic Assurance (IEA) an Alter Domus company is currently seeking a qualified individual that can take an active, hands on role in the development of the software product, assist with the ongoing support of the firm's technology infrastructure and grow with the organization. The skill proficiencies for the position are defined below.
JOB DESCRIPTION - Development, testing and maintenance of the software product
- Working with the architects to translate designs and requirements into more detailed designs, and performing development and testing
- Supporting development operations functions (DevOps) and participation in computing infrastructure maintenance
- An understanding of sound architecture and software design principals and practical experience implementing these principals
- Knowledge and experience with logical and physical database design for both transaction processing applications and analytic/multi-dimensional design environments
- Experience designing, coding and implementing client/server applications, web applications and web services applications within the Microsoft development environment
- Deep practical knowledge of MS SQL Server, .NET Framework, C#, and SQL, HTML and JavaScript
YOUR PROFILE - Minimum 3 years of Software Development experience
- Practical experience with a reporting software package and a multi-dimensional analytic software platform
- A desire to learn the business side of partnership accounting to ensure designs/development are in line with business needs as well as the technical vision for the product
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
DESIRABLE SKILLS - Experience with test automation including process aspects, creation of automation test scripts and the supporting tools and technology
- Experience with Cloud computing infrastructure and services (i.e. AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with MS Analytic Services and Reporting Services
- Financial services industry experience, with a focus in accounting systems supporting the industry
