Summary

Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to help ensure SAP and business applications meet business requirements through comprehensive test planning, functional testing, test automation, defect identification, and release validation.

This role will serve as a bridge between the technical/programming and business sides of application quality, partnering closely with developers, SAP/IT technical teams, business leaders, project stakeholders, and end users.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently on complex projects, communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, and taking ownership of quality throughout the software development and release lifecycle.

What You'll Do
  • Review and analyze business and technical requirements to understand application functionality and expected outcomes.
  • Create and/or contribute to detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
  • Execute functional, integration, IT, and business testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and debug automated test scripts.
  • Create automation plans and incorporate automated testing into the software release pipeline.
  • Utilize Tricentis Tosca and Azure DevOps as key QA and release-management tools.
  • Schedule and monitor automated testing activities.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects and issues through resolution.
  • Partner with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release validation, and application approvals.
  • Provide quality metrics and testing status updates to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in application releases, deployments, rollouts, and production validation.
  • Identify opportunities for application and process improvements.
  • Assist with user training and business rollouts as needed.
  • Provide Level 2/3 application support when issues cannot be resolved through the Help Desk.
  • Participate in projects ranging from smaller initiatives to enterprise-level implementations.
  • Help mentor and support less experienced QA team members and co-ops.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong professional experience in QA/software testing, including both functional testing and test planning.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate applications from both a technical/programming and business perspective.
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans and supporting UAT and release validation.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing automated testing.
  • Experience creating automated test scripts and automation plans.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into a software release pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users.
  • Ability to gather information from business stakeholders, document findings, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively to project teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on SAP experience.
  • Additional programming or software development experience.
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or DB2.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
  • Experience working with stored procedures.
  • Experience with CI/CD and software release pipelines.
  • Advanced QA automation experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level application implementations or releases.
