ASSYST is seeking an IT Field Support Technician to support our client in Temple Hills, Maryland (Onsite role)
This role provides essential technical assistance and support related to computer systems, cloud services, hardware, and network software. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support, resolving hardware and software disruptions to ensure seamless end-user operations.
Please Note: This is a fully onsite role. Remote work is not permitted.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.
- Ensuring the security of clients and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent; an associate''s degree preferred
- General Experience as an IT Field Support Technician or Service Desk Specialist: 2 Years
- Specialized Experience Experienced in Active Directory, Windows OS, SCCM, and ITIL Methodologies.
Skillset Required:
- Computer Hardware Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
- Technical support: 1 year (Preferred)
- Software troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Strong customer service skills.
