Responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer will:
- Drive pipeline automation, code deployment, and policy-as-code initiatives.
- Ensure code quality, standards, and Sonar scan remediation.
- Manage infrastructure and vulnerability aspects.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including writing and optimizing Groovy scripts.
- Collaborate with Enterprise DevOps and Development teams to align and enforce policy-as-code standards.
- Manage deployments using IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy) - configuration, troubleshooting, and rollout strategies.
- Develop and maintain batch scripts, Python automation, and manifest files for provisioning and deployment.
- Lead Python-based deployment strategies, including packaging and environment management.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance DevOps processes for reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
- Document configurations and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Support and execute change requests.
- Collaborate on infrastructure vulnerability management with enterprise and "run the bank" teams.
Sought-After Skills MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
- Strong proficiency in Jenkins (including Groovy scripting and Sonar remediation)
- Experience implementing policy-as-code frameworks (preferred)
- Hands-on exposure with uDeploy, batch scripting, and manifest management
- 5+ years of experience with Bitbucket, Git commands, and version control
- Exposure to Python and writing unit tests
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
- Nice to have: Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), secrets management, access control, vulnerability scanning
