Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will focus on designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business analysts to build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, and develop RESTful and SOAP services.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise web applications
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- Develop RESTful and SOAP services; ensure integration with front-end and back-end systems
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and bottlenecks
- Work with relational databases and optimize queries for performance
- Participate in CI/CD processes and ensure quality standards
Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, and JSP
- Experience with REST/SOAP services, XML, JSON, and YAML
- Solid understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) and advanced SQL (Stored Procedures, Views, Indexes)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Autosys, Cron)
- Knowledge of OOP, OOAD, and SOLID principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines: Maven, Git, Jenkins, Ansible
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Desired skills: - Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of multithreading, caching, and performance tuning
- Experience implementing ADA (Accessibility) compliance in web applications
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
