ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for a 12+ month contract position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in West Greenwich, RI. Summary: This role involves material handling in a controlled clean room environment, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will have experience with gowning procedures and will be responsible for moving, cleaning, and preparing components for manufacturing, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring quality and compliance. This position requires working a day shift from 6:45 am to 7:00 pm on a two-week schedule with mandatory weekend availability.
Responsibilities: - Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable regulations from the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs)
- Report any discrepancies to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor to ensure quality standards and safety
- Ensure quality and compliance through a Right First-Time mentality
- Receive and prepare components for use in manufacturing
- Feed components into equipment and perform sanitation activities
- Document appropriate paperwork, understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)/performance metrics, and participate in daily performance meetings
- Use pallet jacks and manually wrap pallets
- Use computer systems to support material inventory and electronic batch records
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive improvement opportunities
- Ensure components and products are available for continuous operation
Requirements: - High school diploma/GED and 1 year of work or military experience OR an Associate's degree
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Experience with gowning procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical movement 50% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 48 lbs
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training systems
- Must have weekend availability
Desired skills: - Prior industry experience in pharmaceuticals, hospitals, manufacturing, or warehousing
- Experience working in clean room environments
- Experience operating electric pallet jacks and tuggers
- Forklift certification
Pay range: up to $25.35 per Hour
