Job Description: Senior Mainframe Developer

Experience: 13+ Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with 13+ years of experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and mainframe technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications.

• Write and maintain programs using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

• Work with CICS, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.

• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.

• Perform application debugging, testing, and production support.

• Identify and resolve technical issues and improve application performance.

• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers.

• Support batch processing, job scheduling, and application deployments.

• Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills:

• 13+ years of experience in Mainframe Development.

• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

• Knowledge of VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe utilities.

• Experience with batch processing and online transaction processing.

• Understanding of SDLC, testing, and production support.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments.

• Knowledge of IMS, Control-M, or other job scheduling tools.

• Experience in application modernization or mainframe migration.

• Banking, financial services, or insurance domain experience is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
