Summary

Core Responsibilities

Design and manage AWS + on-prem (hybrid) infrastructure
Support and improve cloud systems (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3)
Migrate legacy systems to AWS

Support & Troubleshooting

Handle complex technical issues (cloud, network, IAM)
Support issues escalated from other teams
Perform root cause analysis and fix recurring problems

Infrastructure & Performance

Ensure systems are highly available and reliable
Set up backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring
Improve system performance and efficiency

Cost Optimization (FinOps)

Monitor and reduce AWS costs
Optimize usage (right-size servers, storage, etc.)

Automation & DevOps

Work with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Support CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate on automated deployments (Ansible is a plus)

Security & Compliance

Enforce security policies (IAM roles, MFA, encryption)
Support audit and compliance requirements

Documentation

Create and maintain:
- Architecture diagrams
- Technical documentation
- Operational procedures

Collaboration

Work with engineering and application teams
Guide teams on:
- Cloud migration
- Performance tuning
- Cost optimization
