Senior Business Analyst (Oracle Fusion & Data Integration)
Hybrid Wilmington, MA 2 days week Tuesday and Wednesdays- Locals to MA or NH States only
looking for someone who knows Oracle Fusion Reporting and moving data out of Oracle in the form of PVOs to Data Warehouses. (currently on-prem data warehouses but in future Fabric Cloud warehouse)
Job Description: Business Analyst (Oracle Fusion & Data Integration)
We are seeking a highly analytical and technical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution within our Oracle Fusion Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle s reporting ecosystem and a strong understanding of modern data integration patterns, specifically moving data into Microsoft Fabric for advanced analytics.
Core Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Process Design: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, HR, or Supply Chain) to document business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and design optimized workflows within Oracle Fusion.
OTBI Report Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports and dashboards to provide real-time operational insights.
Data Integration & Extraction: Manage high-volume data extraction strategies using Public View Objects (PVOs). You will be responsible for identifying the correct PVOs to meet business needs and ensuring data integrity during the extraction process.
Microsoft Fabric Ecosystem Integration: Architect and oversee the flow of Oracle Fusion data into Microsoft Fabric (OneLake). This includes configuring data factory pipelines or shortcuts to ensure seamless availability of Oracle data for Power BI reporting and data science initiatives.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scripts, and perform rigorous data validation to ensure consistency between Oracle Fusion source data and the Microsoft Fabric environment.
Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data mappings, technical designs, and report catalogs. Provide training to end-users on leveraging OTBI and Fabric-based insights.
Technical Qualifications
Oracle Fusion Expertise: Minimum 6 years of experience working with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, HCM, or SCM).
Reporting Tools: Advanced proficiency in OTBI, BI Publisher, and Other BI Tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Data Extraction: Proven experience using BICC (Business Intelligence Cloud Connector) and working with PVOs for outbound integration.
Modern Data Stack: Hands-on experience or strong conceptual knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, and Lakehouses.
SQL Mastery: Strong ability to write complex SQL queries to validate data and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies.
Power BI: Experience building visualizations in Power BI sourced from a Fabric-unified data layer is highly preferred.
Soft Skills & Competencies
Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to navigate complex data structures and find efficient paths for integration.
Communication: Skilled at explaining technical data architectures to non-technical business leaders.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in an evolving technical landscape as Microsoft Fabric and Oracle Fusion release frequent updates.
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) are a significant plus
