Job#: 3029447 Job Description: This role supports core engineering initiatives focused on cloud-native platforms, developer experience, and production ready AI capabilities. This individual will contribute to building scalable internal tooling and services along with overall platform effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a consultative partner to application teams to support the delivery of applications and services in a multi-cloud environment
- Operationalize cloud workloads by implementing monitoring, logging, backup and recovery, and security hardening
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud workloads
- Participate in the development and delivery of a Developer Experience platform and a self-service cloud automation platform
- Development of new AI features around typical developer questions and the creation of a portal to allow development community to interact with their daily development and workflow toolsets.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related professional experience in cloud engineering or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent hands on experience
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure (5+ years)
- Experience with application programming language (Java, Rust, Go, Python, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, DevOps and agile processes and practices
- Experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform is preferred
- Familiarity with Cloud Native engineering (K8s, Containers, Docker, Serverless, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, DevOps and agile processes and practices
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel when required
- Developer experience portals such as Backstage or Port is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools including GitLab or Jenkins is a plus
- Experience working with git-based repository platforms such as Azure DevOps is a plus
