Product Development Engineer
Exciting opportunity to grow your career with a leading global organization. The Product Development Engineer supports new product development (NPD) for new and existing products within a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities:
Support stage-gate product development activities. Assist with cost analysis, capital planning, and competitive benchmarking. Contribute to ideation and apply structured problem-solving methods. Support IP awareness and apply Six Sigma tools, statistical analysis, and Cpk evaluation. Use metrology equipment for validation and quality activities. Lead or support DFMEA/PFMEA and risk assessments across safety, regulatory, business, and customer impacts. Drive root cause analysis, Lean, and Kaizen initiatives. Develop technical specifications and validation test methods. Create components and assemblies using CAD (Creo preferred). Support ECR/ECN processes. Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and supplier selection. Ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
Details:
12-month contract with potential to extend or convert. Hybrid role based in Huntersville, NC. Ideal candidates are proactive and thrive in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering; 2 5 years experience. Strong problem-solving, analytical, prototyping, and CAD skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.
