Senior Android Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client located in Fairfax, VA that is in need of a Senior Android Developer.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality technical solutions and hands-on development
* Estimate and plan work for sprints and releases
* Analyze requirements and current architecture to define enhancement roadmaps
* Develop and maintain mobile applications in an Agile environment
* Integrate mobile apps with centralized authentication systems
* Create architecture, design, and non-functional requirement documentation
* Collaborate with BA and QA teams on testing, defect resolution, and quality assurance
* Provide hands-on support to resolve issues and meet delivery timelines
* Promote customer-centric development, innovation, and team growth
* Proactively escalate risks and issues to the Tech Lead

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of mobile and Android application development experience
* Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack components
* Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs
* Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns
* Experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release management
* Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store
* Knowledge of secure mobile development and API security standards
* Experience with performance optimization, memory management, and debugging
* Familiarity with Git and build/deployment tools
* Experience working in Linux/UNIX environments and shell scripting
* Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
* Strong Agile/Scrum experience
* Strong collaboration, communication, and technical writing skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
