Introduction:

Our higher education client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Reporting & Analytics Developer to design, build, and optimize data reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making across the institution. This role will play a critical part in transforming complex data into actionable insights, with a focus on Salesforce-based systems and enterprise reporting tools.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop advanced reports and dashboards using Salesforce and Power BI
Leverage Apsona (Salesforce add-on) to enhance reporting capabilities, including complex queries, cross-object reporting, and data exports
Partner with stakeholders across departments (Admissions, Advancement, Student Services, etc.) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
Build data models and ensure data integrity across systems
Optimize existing reports for performance, usability, and accuracy
Deliver insights that support enrollment strategy, fundraising efforts, and operational efficiency
Create documentation and provide guidance to end users on reporting tools and best practices
Support data governance and reporting standards across the organization

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or BI development
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards
Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization best practices)
Experience working with Apsona or similar Salesforce reporting tools is strongly preferred
Ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in higher education or similar data environments
Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) or CRM platforms used in academia
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder)
Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
