Design the systems that keep critical industrial operations running. We're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in industrial piping, fluid systems, and process engineering to lead complex engineering projects in a highly regulated environment. Work on complex, mission-critical engineering projects supporting one of the nation's most advanced industrial facilities while solving challenging technical problems and driving projects from concept to completion.

What You'll Do


  • Lead the design, analysis, and maintenance of industrial piping and mechanical systems for liquid and gas process applications.

  • Perform equipment sizing and selection for pumps, valves, motors, heaters, blowers, and related process equipment.

  • Conduct pressure drop, fluid flow, thermal, CFD, FEA, and pipe stress analyses to ensure system performance and integrity.

  • Develop, review, and revise engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Manage engineering projects from planning through execution, including scheduling, cost estimating, procurement support, and implementation.

  • Ensure compliance with ASME codes, engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support troubleshooting and system improvements.


What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial piping and fluid process systems design.

  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and equipment sizing.

  • Experience with pipe stress analysis, piping support design, and static/dynamic system analysis.

  • Background in regulated or process-driven industries (nuclear, chemical processing, oil & gas, power generation, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing).

  • Familiarity with ASME codes and applicable engineering standards.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
