OverviewGovCIO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Windows Administrator to support our mission?critical U.S. Coast Guard program. This position will be located in Kearneysville, WV, and will be a hybrid role.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will will be responsible for the management and maintenance of a government computer system, with a strong emphasis on VMware, TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA), and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). This role requires a solid understanding of system security, high availability, and the ability to work in a mission?critical environment. The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers (2016, 2019, and newer), ensuring optimal performance and security.
Manage and administer a large?scale VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Remote Desktop Services (RDS) to provide secure remote access to applications and desktops.
Utilize TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) for automated patching, configuration management, and compliance enforcement across the server environment.
Administer Active Directory, including the management of Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with government standards, including system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and provide advanced troubleshooting for system and application issues.
Manage and test backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology , Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 8 + years (or commensurate expertise ).
Required Skills and Experience Clearance: Active Secret clearance
Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)
Expertise in Windows Server: Extensive hands?on experience installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server environments.
Proficiency in VMware: Proven ability to manage VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machine operations.
Active Directory Mastery: In?depth knowledge of AD, including GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
Remote Desktop Services (RDS): Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting RDS solutions.
Security Hardening: Strong understanding of security principles and experience applying system hardening in government or regulated environments.
Must hold a current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
Preferred Skills and Experience Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard environments
Scripting for Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA): Experience with BMC TSSA or similar enterprise automation platforms.
Industry Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, VMware Certified, or equivalent.

Posted Pay Range The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
