Role: Java Technical Architect

Location: NYC, NY - 5 days Onsite

Duration: 6+ months contract with possible extensions**

Client Interview: 2 levels of F2F 

Position Summary

This role is ideal for a technology leader who can seamlessly span across the full technology stack, from user experience and application architecture to cloud infrastructure, security, integration, and data platforms. The successful candidate will drive enterprise-wide architecture decisions, establish technology standards, mentor engineering teams, and partner closely with business and technology leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Job Description

• 13+ years of experience in designing end-to-end solutions that are scalable, resilient, secure, and aligned with enterprise Architecture Standards.
• Lead architecture governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making across multiple programs and teams.
• Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and best practices for enterprise application development.
• Able to quickly grasp new technologies and evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations with demonstrable POCs
• Ability to understand a business problem, translate into requirements, design system architecture, choose the right technology stack, and design modules that are scalable and secure.
• Strong system design skills and articulate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence executive stakeholders on technology strategy decisions
• Define authentication and authorization standards using OAuth2/SAML/JWT ensuring compliance with enterprise security frameworks and regulatory standards.
• Strong backend technical capabilities in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful Apis, Micro services and design integration ecosystems leveraging systems like Kafka, API Gateways and Middleware Platforms
• Strong frontend technical capabilities in Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material, HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS
• Designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies, automating infrastructure provisioning, improving software delivery performance and reliability and driving observability, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior architects, technical leads, and engineering teams.
