Role : Snowflake Admin

Location : Chicago, IL

Duration : Long-term Contract

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain Snowflake accounts, warehouses, and databases
Manage user roles, access controls, and security policies
Monitor performance, query optimization, and cost usage
Implement data loading/unloading (ETL/ELT) processes
Handle backups, data sharing, and disaster recovery strategies
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Snowflake architecture and administration
Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
Knowledge of performance tuning and cost optimization
Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, dbt)

Good to Have:

Snowflake certification
Scripting knowledge (Python/Shell)
Experience with data governance and security compliance
