Position Overview

As a QinetiQ Associate Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to get hands on in the design, build, and troubleshooting of electronics systems for a variety of end users. In this role, systems can span from compact underwater propulsion units for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to multi-megawatt military vehicle electrification efforts to the Ford class Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) systems and many things in between, including many types of unmanned ground robots.

QinetiQ's Advanced Robotics and Mission Solutions (AR&MS) group applies decades of experience developing and delivering leading edge mission ready systems. From front line unmanned ground robots to ship and submarine mission critical systems, the QinetiQ team prides itself on overcoming next generation threats with mission-led innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Work within multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design and support complex automated systems
  • Implement engineering design changes on legacy designs
  • Hands on support for production and field repairs
  • Creating and executing test procedures from system level to PCB level tests

Required Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent with 0+ years of experience
  • Experience with CAD tools used for electro-mechanical designs and BOM management
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasking prioritization
  • Hands on experience with standard lab and shop tool
  • Ability to obtain DOD Security Clearance
