Summary:

Acts as a liaison between the business and HR on recurring and routine matters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Field employee questions related to various HR functions and confirmed the employee has received timely assistance
  • Assist HR Generalists and other HR team members with special assignments as needed
  • Participate in group projects, such as wellness events, benefit open enrollment presentations, and other employee presentations as required
  • May assist in recruitment activities, including but not limited to, interviews, selection, hiring and the internal application process of promoting employees
  • Complete special projects and duties as assigned


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

This position is 100% on-site and does not offer remote or hybrid work
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related Business discipline
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in Human Resources preferred
  • Proven experience operating in a large, matrixed corporate environment, preferable in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience serving as an HR Business Partner supporting multiple corporate functions while ensuring alignment and consistent HR guidance across the organization
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and coaching skills, a positive attitude, and respond quickly and professionally to client requests
  • Possess practical and objective problem-solving skills and work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of the organization
  • Possess high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills, able to discuss HR issues with employees of all backgrounds
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Function well in a strong service culture and support employees at all levels
  • Able to manage multiple high priority projects with competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • May require 10% travel with some overnight stay


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level
  • The Associate Specialist level requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience
  • 'The Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience



Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
