Release Manager

Job Title: MuleSoft Release Manager

Experience: 6–8 Years

Job Type: Contract / Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering software releases across multiple environments in a controlled and efficient manner. This role ensures releases meet quality standards, align with business priorities, and are delivered on schedule with minimal risk. The Release Manager acts as a key liaison between Development, QA, DevOps, Operations, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Plan, schedule, and manage releases across development, test, staging, and production environments

·        Maintain and govern the release calendar, ensuring alignment and avoiding conflicts

·        Coordinate release activities with DevOps, Development, QA, Infrastructure, and stakeholders

·        Ensure all release artifacts (builds, release notes, deployment scripts, rollback plans) are complete and approved

·        Enforce release governance, change management, and compliance standards

·        Identify and mitigate release risks; manage cross-team dependencies

·        Lead release planning and readiness meetings; communicate release status effectively

·        Support incident management and post-release issue resolution

·        Drive continuous improvement in release processes, automation, and tools

·        Maintain documentation including runbooks, release procedures, and deployment standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

·        5+ years of experience in release management, DevOps, or software delivery

·        Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies

·        Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and release orchestration

·        Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and release management tools

·        Knowledge of ITIL or change management frameworks

·        Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

·        Ability to manage multiple concurrent releases in fast-paced environments

·        Experience with JIRA for release tracking and workflows

·        Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience with MuleSoft integration platform

·        Knowledge of API-led connectivity (Experience, Process, System APIs)

·        Familiarity with test automation and monitoring tools

·        Experience with JIRA automation and workflow optimization

·        Hands-on experience with SOAPUI and Postman
