Role: IAM Consultant with Okta

Location: Remote

Technical / Business Insights:

• Deeply hands-on IAM leader with strong expertise across IAM platforms and solutions.
• Also oversees 6–7 resources working on OneSign under Lavanya Kotha; however, the platform has limited long-term growth potential and may be phased down over time.
• MightyID is his primary area of focus and is expected to see significant investment and growth next year. The team has also worked with BeyondIdentity.
• The nature of skills demands a strong onsite presence for most of his team. 
• During freeze periods, his team actively evaluates new technologies, runs POCs, and presents recommendations to leadership.
• He has unutilized funds available to support new initiatives till EOY.
• He said he is not familiar with Project Meridian and showed limited interest in AI-focused discussions at this stage.

Leadership / Relationship Insights:

• Recently transitioned to a new manager who is still onboarding into the organization.
• His recommendations are highly valued by Karen and her team and often actioned into tangible roadmaps.
• I got the sense that he is a strong people manager who is highly committed to supporting both employees and vendors.
