Telecommunications Technician (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Knoxville Market
Travel: Possibly up to 50% (including overnight stays)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week + overtime opportunities
Contract Length: 6-month CTH with strong potential for conversion
About the RoleWe are seeking motivated
low voltage helper to support a variety of in-building wireless and low-voltage projects across the Tennessee market. This includes work involving DAS, low-voltage installation, fiber, coax, public safety systems, ODAS/IDAS, new construction, and existing campus environments.
This team supports customers across federal, state, and local government sectors, as well as education, healthcare, transportation, and large venue environments.
Candidates must be open to travel-up to
50%, with occasional multi-day overnight stays.
This is a long-term opportunity with a strong history of converting contractors to full-time employees.
Responsibilities- Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage and wireless infrastructure
- Perform fiber and coax installation, termination, and testing
- Install cable pathways including J-hooks and structured cabling (Cat6)
- Read and interpret construction blueprints
- Conduct on-site surveys and document findings
- Work collaboratively on new builds and existing infrastructure upgrades
- Provide quality customer-facing service and communication
QualificationsRequired- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience(Not all required-open to entry-level candidates or trade school graduates)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
