Job Description
The Power BI analyst transforms raw data into insights that shape business decisions. The Power BI analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, transform data, and deliver high-quality visual reports and dashboards that drive decision-making. Responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports, collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs, analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights, maintaining data accuracy and integrity within BI systems, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
The Power BI Analyst highly desired qualifications are:
•Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
•Bachelor’s degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications.
•A minimum of Six (6) years’ experience in creating Power BI dashboards.
•In-depth knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques
Screening focus — what to look for:
•Portfolio of operational dashboards (incidents/problems/changes, SLA/AQL, capacity/site health) used by leadership.
•Integrations with ServiceNow + network monitoring (SolarWinds/NetScout/SteelCentral) and CMDB/IPAM (e.g., Infoblox).
•Strong data modeling (star schemas, incremental refresh), DAX/Power Query, and RLS/security practices.
•Cadence for daily situational, weekly bandwidth/ticket, and monthly trend/AAR visuals.
•CBP BI and/or Secret/TS clearance preferred.
