We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a cutting-edge New Aircraft Design Program team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles, extensive experience in aircraft design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of advanced aircraft systems and structures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing.
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, and improve aerospace products and systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems using advanced engineering tools.
- Apply engineering analysis techniques such as FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis to validate designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Computer-Aided Engineering tools (e.g., CATIA).
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge of engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD, thermal analysis).
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Familiarity with parametric design, model-based definition, material selection, and production processes.
