Senior Software Engineer

Company Overview

A leading firm based in Los Angeles, California is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its technology organization. The firm manages a significant portfolio of institutional assets across credit, private investments, and other alternative strategies. Technology and AI are central to its ongoing innovation strategy, with continued investment in intelligent applications, automation, and data-driven solutions.

Role Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will be a hands-on full-stack developer responsible for building and supporting internal applications, AI-enabled solutions, enterprise integrations, and the Salesforce platform. This role will work closely with investment, operations, compliance, investor relations, accounting, and data teams to turn complex business processes into scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop applications that automate workflows across investment management, compliance, operations, accounting, and investor relations.
  • Build full-stack solutions using C#, .NET, SQL, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
  • Develop and support AI-enabled applications, agent workflows, document processing, and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Configure and enhance Salesforce, including objects, fields, flows, validation rules, security, integrations, and light custom development.
  • Build integrations between Salesforce, internal applications, data platforms, and third-party systems using APIs, ETL, messaging, and automation.
  • Develop data and document processing workflows that extract, validate, transform, and load information into enterprise systems.
  • Partner directly with investment and business teams to translate domain expertise into repeatable, automated workflows.
  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives while maintaining data quality and consistency across connected systems.
  • Troubleshoot production applications and integrations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and process automation.

Additional Details
  • Work model: Hybrid, three days onsite per week
  • Quarterly travel may be required

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using .NET, C#, SQL, and modern web technologies.
  • Strong Python experience for automation, data processing, scripting, or AI-enabled applications.
  • Professional experience within investment management, private equity, hedge funds, fixed income, or a closely related financial services environment.
  • Hands-on experience developing REST APIs, enterprise integrations, and data-driven applications.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications, NLP, document processing, intelligent automation, or production integrations with modern AI models.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce configurations and integrations with enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL, data modeling, source control, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and investment-oriented business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable approaches for connecting AI applications with enterprise tools and data.
  • Experience integrating commercial or open-source large language models into production applications.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft-centric technology environments.
  • Knowledge of fixed income, credit, trading, portfolio management, or fund accounting workflows.
  • Experience supporting investment or fund accounting platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce administration, Apex, Lightning, or Salesforce deployment processes.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Docker, cloud infrastructure, modern front-end frameworks, and asynchronous integration patterns.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, or related credentials.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $180,000 - $240,000 with discretionary bonus
