Position: Ruby on Rails Software Engineer
Location: Elk Grove, CA / Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA
Work Model: Hybrid
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Ruby on Rails engineers to build and support production Rails applications at enterprise scale.
The role covers:
- End-to-end feature development
- RESTful API design, development, and integration
- Database modeling and query optimization
- Production troubleshooting and application support
- Collaboration with Product, QA, and Platform teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Ruby on Rails development experience in production environments
- Solid Ruby fundamentals and Rails framework conventions
- RESTful API design, development, and integration
- Relational databases, including schema design, ActiveRecord, and SQL query tuning
- Automated testing using RSpec or MiniTest
- Git, code review, and CI/CD workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
